  1. I am a disabled senior, hoping I have a a while before I am told I can no longer drive. We got a TINY increase in Social Security income this year, but with that our food stamps amount is decreased, utilities and rent go up, etc. so we never do get increase… we have to pass it on.
I have been trying for a couple of weeks now to find a lower cost or free car registration, but nowadays doing an internet search is extremely FRUSTRATING and often leads to a big runaround. Some of the suggestions here in your article do the same, and it is IMPOSSIBLE to get any help on the phone from the DMV. Can you PLEASE tell me where I ACTUALLY CAN get help with this? I live in the 93065 zip code (Simi Valley, CA) with a housing voucher or I could NEVER afford to live in California. My registration is due on Jan. 29, so any help/advice would have to come soon, IF you are willing to respond.
